Wanna bet on that? I'll have 50 on it that says he doesnt play more than 1 game in the magoo's... if any.
Yep you're right, because he'll be out with soft tissue injuries most of the year. People are excited about the player he WAS. Realistically, he's 30 years old and hasn't played for two years, and his last few appearances were dogged by hamstrings. 50 bucks says it'll be an injury interrupted year.

He has had 1 serious hamstring injury. Let me repeat that....ONE. This was in his last game against port. It's because of this ONE injury that he is seen to have dodgey hamstrings. There is nothing else to suggest that he is injury prone in this area. Also, the time he took off is more liable to help with his time on the field if anything...

Richo did 3 or 4 hammys in one year about 3-4 years ago - aged 29. Since then he has been averaging 18 -20 games each year.

Yeah that's true....... different bloke. Doesn't change my opinion about Cousins. He spent a long time out of the game, came back and got injured. He's spent even longer out, and is two years older. We'll just have to see.

He is one of ours now, so you can drop the bitter sniping

50 bucks says he will be our best midfielder in the 2H of the season.

50 more bucks says you dont like Cousins because he makes you feel inadequate

Hopefully Benny goes well but i think he will only play for another 1-2 yrs as his hammys just wont keep up. Being 31 next yr and 2 yrs out of the game doesnt help. Not to mention his last game he ripped his hammy right off the bone.

I wish he could play forever :D

What!!??!?!?!?!?!??!

Are you saying we aren't allowed to say anything bad about our own players? WTF (W=Why) does this board exist then? For us to approve everything the players do and only give them the :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:?

Does this mean from now on whenever someone says something bad about one of our own players you will be on their case?

Hahaha ok. Firstly, since when has a player being "one of our own" meant that we don't bag them? Never, I'd say. And secondly, Lids will be our best midfielder all year beyond. And thirdly, inadequate? I dunno how big Cousins' sword is but really, I don't like him because of the man he is. Selfish, dependent and vain. Prime example - the day before the AFL sits on the Polak bid, he allows a portrait of himself, naked in bed, to be published on the front page of The Age. It's not a sheep station, but surely, just really stupid timing, and just the latest example. Basically, Cousins was my most hated footballer when he was at West Coast, and I'm just struggling a little bit seeing him at Richmond, as I'm sure you would be if we drafted your most hated player. For me, the most revolting, arrogant image in football was Cousins swinging his arm, with one hand on the Premiership Cup after they won in 2006. Makes me queasy whenever I see it.

If we can get 5 games out of him it'll be a bonus. He's gonna spend a lot of time coming through Coburg.

Errr...?

You just drafted the best player at your club. I dont know if you know this but he is only 30 and is a 6xAA, 4xB&F, AFLPAMVP and a Brownlow medalist.

If's he's fit. He plays.

How dare a player who arrived just after the glory years, put 10 years of hard work into something he loved, lived through the dark Judge years, then finally won a premiership....be happy.

How dare he.

Ha Mike Sheehan got stuck in to Wallace on FoxSports for suggesting Cousins might play at Coburg, said it was the most political statement he'd ever heard and he'd give him 330-1...still, Sheehan's a tool and I wouldn't rule it out completely to start with....though i'm sure everyone at the club will be desperate to get him up for that first round clash v Judd...

Oh and yes he is the best player of this decade, but we also have Cotchin , the best player of the next decade.:thumbsu:
