I just wondered what Craigieburn in Victoria is like?

For example, is it a nice place to stay? Much crime?

When I go to Melbourne later this year, chances are that's where I will stay.

Anyway Vics, get back to me.

Only if you take the MET (if you go via V-LINE, you can get to Craigieburn easily), but when the MET extends out that way through Roxborough Park, Coolaroo, Somerton & Craigieburn (which will happen eventually) Craigieburn should be accessable to public transport.

If you're keen on Golf, they have a good course there, but if you don't have a car, your buggered (if you do, you'll be right).

I lived in Craigieburn for the first 12 years of my life, I have fond memories of the place. I don't really know what it's like these days it's been a few years since I've been back.

I'd reckon the crime rate there would be pretty high, pretty big population yet still fairly isolated. It was getting bad when we moved out, although that wasn't the reason for the move.

It's a nice place by day, night-time can get dodgy, but that was 16 years ago.

It'd only be about 20k's north of the CBD, might be worth a shot.
