Hi All,

I've been living off a visa debit credit card for a while now and Im thinking its time to get a regular credit card but Im clueless as to what to get.

Im with Westpac now so ideally I'd like to keep that but all the stuff I've been reading online never mentions Westpac as a great provider, and Im also interested in a rewards program such as Frequent Flyer etc as I do fly semi-regularly, or is there another rewards program that is better?

Any tips?

I have a Wizard Clear Advantage Mastercard, which is great as it has no transactional fees. If you want rewards, I think the ANZ and Commonwealth Bank both have rewards programs that link directly with Qantas Frequent Flyers, amongst others. It all depends how much you are spending and flying though. I mean you could end up flying a little bit and spending and spending for years and only being able to fly to Sydney and back for free in the end.

Yeah yeah yeah thats not an issue, I don't need "dont get into debt" advice.

Im asking which card to get not for the tip, thanks Dad.

Your welcome. The only advantages you will get is if you can pay the full amount each payment otherwise the interest you pay will cancel out the odd frequent flyer points etc etc.:)
