I've notices a lot this year, that we have more desire to form a wall (or the 2nd line of the zone) outside the 50 and try and trap the ball in, rather than provide direct man on man pressure and try and scorefrom the stoppage.

This is compounded when you see Tex doing the ruck work. Almost conceeding.

I'm concerned with the amount of teal seats I see as well.

Problem is that with a team that can kick low and hard, and who are getting the ball that easily from a ball-up, they only have to clear it 10-15 metres from where they are, and they can kick it straight through/over the 'wall.'

There shouldn't be any uncontested touches from a ball up situation as above; yet they've got 3-4 players un-marked, who no doubt got the ball, gave it to one of their 3 mates in space, and then got it out of there.
 
Agreed, I rather pressure the clearance kick rather than fill holes but allow time. Well skilled teams will find holes or will run through it.
