The original and arguably the better Crysis is finally heading to PS3 and 360. Didnt enjoy it much when first released and only played it to see what the hype was about (not real big on PC gaming didnt help), but after enjoying Crysis 2, i'll be definitely picking this up.

Re: Crysis coming to consoles

One of all-time favorite FPS games, along with STALKER and HL2:E2 (which, strangely enough all came out within a few weeks of each other). It's a significantly better game than its decent, but somewhat disappointing sequel.

Re: Crysis coming to consoles

Seems pointless to bring the original out after the sequel was just released.

Would have to think it'd be a cut price when it's out, like $50-$60 at best. No doubt full price will be attempted however.

Crysis 1 was more than a video game. It was a graphical orgasm. The same thing simply cannot be produced on modern day consoles.

I would say about $20-$30 Aus dollars.
Following the initial announcement this morning, EA UK’s announced this afternoon that Crysis 1 on PS3 and 360 will be a downloadable release only for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

The game will be priced at 1600 MS points for XBLA and £14.99 on PSN, with full 3D support, optimized Nanosuit controls and fine-tuned combat all supported with the inclusion of CryEngine 3.

And unfortunately it couldnt be produced on most home PC's either, I remember at the time a lot of review sites couldnt even run it in full res on their test PC's which are normally monsters!!

Ill definitely give it a crack, although I kinda got over the whole jungle thing after farcry 2, loved the city setting of Crysis 2 - brilliant game!!

Re: Crysis coming to consoles

To be fair, it was built with future PC's in mind. Even on a single 8800GTS 320 and a core2duo (medium to high settings at 720p) it was the best looking game I'd ever seen by a mile. Of course, now I can play it cranked all the way up (well, I will once I finally replace my broken videocard) and it still competes with the likes of BF3. I don't see whats wrong with that solution at all other than the whinging that comes with people who have a mental problem with not being able to play a game without all the graphics options being turned up, no matter what those options may represent.

Re: Crysis coming to consoles

Yeah but technically if you cant play a game with all the settings turned right up, then you arent playing it exactly how the developer intended it to be experienced!
