Connors will be a star, he's got so much talent and at Richmond we will smooth out any rough edges. Compare him to say Clinton Benjamin who was picked before him and played in the same match, who is the better actual player? Connors may need work but he is better than a majority of players picked ahead of him in the draft. Richmond didn't pick Lance Franklin for "attitude" reasons too, I don't know how bad Connors is but to drop to 58 maybe too much emphasis was put on attitude.

Benjamin does have upside and I liked the look of him (I wish he was at Richmond! )

My point was that Connors is a better player than quite a few picked ahead of him (Benjamin the example because they were in the same game today) and Connors has backed this up on the field. His attitude made him drop, which is understandable. But from Pick 6 in the mock draft dropping to pick 58?

I suspect an over-emphasis on attitude by recruiters (as important as it may be) and in time he could be one of those players who people go "why the heck did so many people overlook him again?", just my opinion. Lance Franklin dropped for the same reason, but then again, players like Sampi also come to mind. With Connors he will probably either be a great player or a dud, and I like what I've seen so far. Has played up while playing well so we're yet to know which way he'll go for sure.

Most clubs went for safer picks who have less talent which isn't always a bad thing.

He puts his body on the line and at times he was able to knock the ball loose to a free man or bring the footy to ground allowing our guys to clear the congestion. I think he will be a great player who will complement the guys like deledio, edwards and tambling with his physical pressence.

His left foot laser beam is so effective as he clears all comers in his way. I love the kids who are willing to take them on like Dan and Edwards. Confidence is a hard thing to build for some guys (Meyer and Schulz are two i suspect are struggling with this) and it's good to see these guy's are already full of it. I look forward to seeing him in a RFC jumper soon.
