I believe it was a calf strain (I could be wrong, but it was something fairly minor like that), he was for a couple of weeks as a precaution and is back training now.

Unlikely. They've been gradually easing the senior players in and the youngsters out over the past couple of weeks. They're unlikely to play anyone on Friday night who isn't in the mix for the senior team for round one.
