Melb is the only other club that comes close... Robertson, James McDonald (both over 100 games), Jolly, Williams Walsh, Ward, Jamar, Nathan Carroll and Broadbridge. 543 games.Originally posted by voodoo_86
Add him to the list, we must be one of the most fortunate clubs recently in getting talent off the rookie list - anyone want to prove/disprove this theory? last 5 years max

I'm starting to notice some more worrying deficiencies in Happy's game. Yesterday showed his complete lack of ability to use his right side of his body and the more worrying was the constant lack of keeping his feet when pressured physically. However the thing that really stood out was 3 or 4 times when running to a 50-50, Happy would slow down and look at the opponent and then pull out of the contest as if he was scared to make body contact.
Watched him a lot as a Colts player and have to say I have seen all those deficiencies many times.
Agreed mick, but they are starting to stand out to me more now than they were then if you follow my thought train!!Originally posted by mick ryan

You are on the right train, from memory those deficiencies that you have mentioned were the very ones that in the end, ruled him out of U18's selection. The final 25 that is.

Ryan Murphy was excellent. Lead well, marked well and kicked well. He is doing everything that is being asked of him and looks as if he has put on a little weight. Really impressed with him to date as he has thoroughly blossomed since coming across to South.

On another note... Murphy appears he's gonna be a good one. Everyone thought Freo was crazy to pick the guy so early in the draft but it appears Smart did his homework.

It was interesting to read when we made our selections they stated we got 4 players rated in our top 10. Now I guess that top 10 didn't bother taking into consideration the 8 or so players guarenteed to get taken before us? But even so, I thought it was a bit optimistic.
Now though, looks like we've picked up a few gems.

Hows Mundy, Campbell going ?
Whats the story bout Dunney not getting full games prior to when he was injured ?

IMO Murphy and Mundy have out performed Dunn this year (prior to injury).
