Daniel Riccardo

I think this guy might deserve his own thread so I figure id be the one to start it. He's a 19 year old from Perth who is part of the Red Bull stable. He has been starring in the European junior formulae finishing 2nd in the Formula Renault Euroseries last year and made the step up to the British F3 Championship this year with the famous Carlin Motorsport team.

He has won 3 of the first 4 races, including a win on debut. Here's hoping one day in the not too distant future we can have another Aussie on the F1 grid, maybe replacing MW ??? "Australia's Daniel Riccardo".... you can imagine it now.

I hope he does make it so there can be a cross-Tasman rivalry with Hartley.

Australian Formula 1 racers have been pretty rare in modern times. I can only recall Alan Jones, David Brabham and Mark Webber racing within the last 20 odd years, so another talented Aussie right around the corner is very pleasing.

Lets hope that he can keep it up.
