exactly right gamble gets 1 or two games if he is lucky then gets dropped. who can develop there game and show wat they can do in that time. the guy has freakish skills but ya cant always play a blinder after 1 game, then go back to the magoos for 3 or four games then get put back in the seniors. if they gave him 5 games with out dropping him, and give him the chance to show wat he can actually do on the feild. im sure every one will be talking about how gd this kid can play. HOW MANY CHANCES did they give tomahawk in the last couple of years, and he played some of the worst football i have seen

The difference is that Hawkins is a KPP and considered essential to Geelongs future. Regardless of whether thats true or not, those are the sort of players teams need to work on at developing. Gamble is just another medium size forward who shows alot of talent and potential but can also be a bit lazy and unmotivated at times.

As people have said, Geelong is amazing at developing players. I am willing to give Thompson and everyone else the benefit of the doubt here and assume they know what they are doing and have alot more information then us.
