I haven't heard that much of her music apart from the obvious hits "Kissing You", "You Gotta Be" and "Life", and must admit I thought she was of African-American background, going by the nature of her voice.

I think she's quite a talented woman. Can anyone else recommend other songs/works by her? Thanks in advance.

someone want to give a run down of the job interview part from 'the office' where david brent talks about the philosipher, desiree. I can't be bothered looking for quotes, and I don't know it.

Now, do you know which philosopher said that?

As an aside. Another of Des'rees songs (note the apostrophe - it gives her validity as an artist) has the worst lyrics of all time.
Something about park, dark, bark and ghost, most, toast.

I can make things out of clay, or eat some hay. I just may .......... and so on.

Hah! I thought you were talking about the French or Belgian pop singer from the early 80s!!! Fine piece of skirt it was too (at the time).

That'd be "Life", I'd say
