MVP Didaka Award - Round 9 v Fremantle

Another dismal effort as a team. Some could hold their heads up, though.

5: Moore - imperious nearly all game across half back. Made the one bad error but saved us countless times.
4: Maynard - would have been so much worse without him and Moore
3: Steele - started slowly but got into it more and more as the game went on.
2: Noble - like many others his kicking still isn’t great but unlike many others his work rate is fantastic.
1: Elliott - the only midfielder who liked lively in the centre.

Let’s not blame the umps on this one.

They could’ve easily given Freo a holding the ball free kick 25metres out with two of our own players holding the ball in.

5 Moore
4 Noble
3 Maynard
2 Elliott
1 Checkers

Sidey had a bad start but worked his way into it.......most others might as well not have bothered.

A bit of a breakout game for Noble I reckon , which was nice to see.

5. Maynard
4. Sidebottom

2. Noble
1. Treloar

Everyone else, just..... just, don’t. Okay? Just don’t. I’ve sacked people for better performances than that.

Edit: Elliott, you were okay.

What an embarrassing thread title.

Now edited so that you look crazy. :drunk:

I should point out I wasn’t suggesting we lost because of the umps, because if we’d put in a half decent effort we would have won, and that’s definitely on us. But I was pretty pissed off with the inconsistencies that led to that imbalanced free kick count.

A record % of total votes went to the top 5 players, indicative of a large amount of passengers on Sunday.

LEADERBOARD:

Maynard now in equal top spot and is the first player to get 2 BOGs this season. He is in outstanding form.

3 of the top 6 are defenders, which is usually a sign that things aren't going particularly great.
