Article in the HUN this morning about the great man buying Player Sponsor membership package.

His player... Will Minson

Can't find the article on the HUN website, but just goes through how he was keen to give something back to the club who'd given him so much, and how he'd taken Minson under his wing and so forth.

Just a little article, but just thought it was worth mentioning

Nice to see that someone is helping out the club by choice!!

This is not the first time...I'm sure it was he who setup the Backyard Bulldogs scheme....and I think (Im not sure) he paid for the first lot of memberships out of his back pocket. The next year the club got on board and they are now asking members to purchase and donate the tickets to the scheme for disadvantaged kids to go to the footy.

Dimma also sits with them if he's not playing too I think.

So yeah Dimma's my hero....

Yes, he is very involved with the under privilage & disadvantage children, and it was Paul & two others (Johnno??) that helped set up the Backyard program.

Dimma's an alround good guy

That's good to hear. I don't think players get enough credit for things like that, particularly voluntary work. They get a bit of publicity for it i guess, but we all seem to expect it from them.
