Maric had 8 hitouts to advantage (a staggering 50% of his total hitouts), DD, which is I guess why everybody including CD rated his game as significantly better than Minson's, despite Minson winning twice as many ('junk') hitouts. ;)
 
Me I'd love the club/coaches to go through some of the things they have to consider in player development once a player is drafted as an 18 or so year old. I think that would give supporters a good insight. (but just broadly speaking, not necessarily to specific. Don't wanna give away too much).

If the handball had hit (Maric!) Conca we would have been away and creating the overlap...and scored.

I also thought it was funny to see them expose Swan as a front runner eg the mark and goal came from a lucky turnover when Swan was bludging back near the square. He did that a few times. Rolled the dice. Cotch brought it up on the couch too.

how often dont we hit a target properly by hand? Frustrates the shite out fo me.

I actually don't care how many tackles we have provided we are causing a lot of turnovers. With this is mind, tackles certainly have the potential to create turnovers.... I always think back to the Sydney game last year, our intensity was fantastic. That should be our benchmark.... IMO

It's just the worst turnover. Under bugger all pressure and gets everyone completely out of shape. I mean we're entitled to run forward in those circumstances and so the turnover creates a critical error every time. Blood pressure thru roof.

We execute PERFECT handballs to players who have an opposition player hanging off them, but can't, for the life of us, hit a handball to a free, running player. Seriously!

Exactly, that and the hawks game. Be tough on the inside and great on the outside. aim for 1 tackle per player per quarter. And dont give the players an out and demand that they do it.
 
Oh well, even though the structure wasnt put in place correctly by the players, Dimma took the blame on himself for bad edumacation.

Good to see heads are not stuck in the sand, and hopefully this is the last loss of this kind.

Between the Goal that should have been, and the infringement against Maric in the 2nd last stoppage that didn't get, Dimma feels pretty ripped off from the umpires.
Didn't talk about our i50 movements, which were shocking. I guess he can only do that so much.
Still the reviews are good, shows at least the coaching team are acknowleding they still have particular issues that they are trying to address.

Our inside 50 movements in the second and third qtrs can't have been too bad - although there weren't many we scored from well over half of them which is a massive step-up in conversion rate.

One thing - that inffringement against Maric in the second last stoppage, wasn't the only one - it is just the onvious one, the centre one prior and the one scored off both had third man up and none of them did he get a clean run at.
