My 10 year old Dishlex has died, it died in a pretty spectactular way, smouldering and burning electronics by the looks of it. Anyone know if this type of thing is covered by insurance, and secondly how much Dishwashers are to repair.

Being a former salesperson (and hopefully not for long), I would have to say if it was that old, don't bother getting it fixed because by the time you paid for a full repair... you might as well have got another one.

Sorry!!

Get a new one - probably cheaper than getting it repaired. You can always find another washer thats on the blink and have washing machine races - a la The Simpsons

I feel your pain, i need a new dishwasher too, dunno where im gonna find a chick like that though.

Mine used to blow up once in a while, when I came home from the pub half-cut.

She used to say "why do you keep coming home half-smashed"?

I used to tell it's cos I kept running out of money....

ahhhh, ever since our dishwaser blew up a few years back, my parents make me do the dishes. They call me the "dishwasher"...... Bloody slave drivers they are.
