Yep, Hill tackling with his arms again.

Weak display.

Bradey, was out best last week so a very stupid comment from you, but up to your standards.

Was our 2nd best last week.. but the four weeks before that he would have been close to bottom each week. People bitch and moan about Ibbotson making mistakes, but this guy makes quadruple them.

The worst was when Hill ran past the ball on the wing. It was there for him to take, and he didn't, because he knew Armfield was on his hammer.

Way too many players in this side afraid of body contact.

I'm all for it. We need to start sending out some messages to this playing group about unacceptable efforts.

F**k it, I'd go as far as dropping Hill for the rest of the season too, regardless of how well he plays in the WAFL. Might see him come back next year with a bit more intensity once he realises he can't take his spot in the side for granted.

The impact he's having lately it's not like we'd miss him anyway. And he's too important to our future success to allow him to keep cruising along in 2nd gear. Before we know it he'll be 27 and we'll have MJ mk2 on our hands.

I seem to remember some wise sage demanding such an action earlier in the year?

I remember the play in question, and he did slow his attack on the ball per se, but I think it was more because he was trying to preemptively manouvre out of contest, as if he allready had the ball in his hands.

I don't accept pulling out of the contest, but this one he gets the benefit of the doubt. Don't think we'll see it again.

I saw the contest, i dont think he squibbed, i think he opted to not take the ball and body the oncoming player. However if he did take the ball he probably would have got a free with his head over the ball but it wasnt a situation where not taking the ball would have cost us

Also his running goals the last 2 weeks were awesome and show glimpses of what he can add. If he can clean up his disposal, which at its best is pretty good, he'll be a good weekly contributor

he's ok. He's a depth player.
He aint no star though, and if you talk to a coach or two, they reckon he is !
He's 25, he is no spring chicken.
DEPTH ONLY IMO !

Ferk me, I must have watched different game.
I did not see the alleged squib, but geez he was one of only few who actually tried his guts the whole game. Meanwhile, Barlow turned the ball over twice coming out of defensive 50 that resulted directly in Carlton goals.

He'll be ok. Will play better in a better team next year and will also have a full preseason and another year of getting his head around the pace of AFL footy.

There's bigger things to worry about.
