Todd McKenney - the w***er from one of those dance shows was found yesterday in a bad state, was revived by ambos, then somehow charged. Not sure what the details are with the police being involved.

My point is, after the Cousins, Carey, Johns, Sailor scandals, every halfwit and his missing teeth have been jumping up and down shouting "Those celebtrities are always getting away with it. They whinged when Paris Hilton only got a short jail term but failed to realise most normal people don't go to jail for that stuff.

I want to know why a guy has been charged with possession? Seriously, who cares? I just wonder if it was some junkie whether he would have been charged?

One part of me agrees with you because I too think he's a knob end. But I'm looking at it from the other angle - the angle where so many of us get on our high horses and spruik that celebs get away with everything.

I'd love to know how the police were involved? Usually ambos will just revive people and take them to hospital. Usually ambos or bystanders won't call police with an OD.

He is claiming his drink was spiked, but police can only charge with possesion when you are in possesion of drugs, they cant charge you with possesion if you are under the effects of drugs but have no drugs on you. Obviously they must have found drugs on him, so his claim of drink spiking would be a last ditched effort to save his career.

I understand why people would do it, but wouldn't do it myself. As much as I dislike him, and as much as I dislike GHB, I would just call the ambo's and that is it. Same as any other person I saw OD'd. Calling the police is just spiteful.

Only an idiot would believe that someone planted the drugs. Sort of like the people who couldn't accept Cousins was a drug addict.

But in the same respect, those shouting from their moral high ground "how dare he try to weasel out of it!" should remind themselves that they too have done the same thing before and just may do the same thing if they were in his shoes. Not referring to you with this point either - just to the inevitable people who will start snarling at how he is handling it.

Have heard rumours about him and use of disco biscuits before.

Also his drink driving conviction was suss. He said he woke up at 1am, couldn't sleep, had a whiskey and then drove to a club in town to make him tired again.

I was driving to work this morning and was listening to MMM (yes, I know, they're shit), anyway, this topis popped up. Paul Murray who ironically sends up that arse bandit Alan Jones had this to say:

"You know what really annoys me? Ben Cousins was in the paper doing an Anzac March with his Dad and people were applauding him! How dare they! Andrew Jhns used drugs and now has a job and is forgiven! I never used drugs and no one comes and congratualtes me for not using drugs or not beating my wife (Carey reference)!

Unfortunately common sense is an oxymoron. It's not common at all. Why would you begrudge someone encouraging a person who gave up drugs? Why would you resent the attention a celebrity gets? This is a common theme with the dumb TT/ACA watching crowd. There's a lot of pathetic people around.

Kye Sandilands is hated. Daryl Somers is hated. So is Hynch and Zemanek. But all of these people (unfortunately) have many fans. They polarise people.

I've never known of one person who likes Todd McKenney. Not even old ladies like him. he's not the most hated person by a long stretch - just more people hate him than anyone else.
