A genius, absolutely.

His recent album, The Delivery Man, was back to his best. Otherwise: This Year's Model, King of America, Armed Forces...

Best Song? With a massive catalogue like his, a fan will give you a different answer each week. This week: Tokyo Storm Warning. Or Shipbuilding. Or Green Shirt. Or Sleep of The Just...etc, etc...

yeah Delivery Man is pretty special, loose nd rootsy with some of the old band at the helm!

greenshirt has been playing alot latley for me to,bigger boys and the jazz version of watching the detectives(which blows away to original)

new orleans jazz type records with allen toussaint is comming out in a couple of weeks, cant wait to hear it:thumbsu:

I've only got 3 of his albums, but he's right up there now with my favourite artists. Just a wonderful songwriter, lyricist, musician, singer, you name it.

I started with This years model, then got My aim is true, and most recently Armed forces. I love all of these records especially TYM. What should I look at getting next out of his sizeable catalogue?

Easily my favorite Elvis

In order my top five favorite Elvises are

1. Elvis Costello
2. Elvestrom (the racehorse)
3. Elvis (the helicopter that fights fires)
4. Any Elvis Presley impersonator, especially Asian

daylight

5. Elvis Presley

What about Elton Motello who sang "Jet Boy, Jet Girl" - same tune as Sa Pla pour moi; and

El Vez - the Mexican Elvis who sings "In el Barrio"

A little trivia about the song "radio, radio"

Elvis and his band were on the same bill as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers who just had played "Listen To Her Heart". Elvis like the ending chiming guitars so much that he used that in his song "radio radio".

Elvis is one of the greatest all rounders of all time and his voice is as good as anyone recording today.
