Intersting stat - Inside 50s - 57 to StK, 55 to Essendon.

I thought we had as much of it tonight as they did, but their running and delivery out of defence to players that were continually free killed us.

It just goes to show how far we have got to go. Essendon are an extremely well drilled team, which enables them to introduce new players fairly easily. Our younger players (and several of the older ones) seemed overawed or intimidated by the opposition.

On a brighter note, it was good to see us get 3 goals from Bomber players (Jacobs, Henneman & Ramanaskas) dropping easy marks when they knew that BBBH was bearing down. It as least gave us something to cheer about and stir up the Bomber supporters around us.

Which only goes to prove the old adage - it ain't what you got, it's how you use it.
