Once I took Tasman Bitter to a party. It's made by Boag's, and is quite good, but not as good as Boag's itself. However, I ran out and had to drink a Carlton Draught. In comparison the CD was absolutely disgusting. How do people drink that ****? VB and Carlton Cold are no betteer.

You can only get Tasman Bitter at LickerLand. Best valued beer out there. Dosen't make you feel full so you can slame it down.

Stella Artois
Guiness, Kilkenny on tap only.
Carlton Draught
Melbourne Bitter is ok.
Boags premium
Cascade
DB - German Beer

Minging beers include:
Carlton Cold, anything Tooheys, VB even in a can, any unleaded beer (light beer), any Hahn beer any mainstream American (not canadian) beer, Bud Miller et al.

Overrated:
Corona, Heiniken and VB.

Darky, I have a british mate that strongly advised me against ever trying Carlsbergs 'Elephant Beer'. So I assume he was right? ;)

Any of these beers go well with the football.

1. West End 107 Pilsener
2. West End Draught
3. Victoria Bitter
and when I am not in the mood for getting ****ed...
4. Cascade Premium Light

Hmmm... all this stuff about beer is making me thirsty...:D

Yep Tasman's great, nut! I'm glad it's only Lickerland that sells it, because if it got popular the price would probably go up. Nobody knows about it yet. Hehe well they do now......

Honest question: why do you like VB, VB drinkers on the board? I've got nothing against people drinking it, but I've always wondered what they attraction is. To me it's bloody awful!

Urrghhh... raboyle, get thee to a grog shop and splash out on a six pack of James Squire Pilsener. You'll never drink West End 107 again.

As for "footy" beers, well it's West End Draught or nothing, unless you're at Norwood Oval.

A man after my own heart, Darky... I drink a fair bit of James Squire, largely because the only comparable beer (Matilda Bay Pils) is hard to come by in Adelaide.

I've never heard of the Mt Macedon Ale, but given that you rate James Squire highly, I don't doubt that it's good stuff. Any idea where I could find some in SA?

Uncle Steve's bestest Aussie brews:

1. Uncle Steve's home brew. Typically as good as any top-shelf brew, with the satisfaction of knowing I made it myself :D

2. Matilda Bay and James Squire Pilseners

3. Cascade lager, James Boags, Southwark Premium.

4. Coopers Pale Ale, Best Extra Stout, Special Old Stout, Sparkling Ale.

5. West End Draught. Alright, I admit it's average at best - but it goes down just fine when its bought from Snout's Bar and there's a Glenelg match happening just in front of me :D

Uncle Steve, you are truly on the money except for the West End Draught. Every time I come back to Adelaide I wince when I drink the stuff. Maybe you van make it to Pecker Park for the Eagles v Bays on April 6 to extoll its virtues to me? Obviously your home brew is worth trying. ;)

Southwark Premium is highly underrated. Can only get it here in Melbourne from Dan Murphy.

Mt Macedon - currently $4 a throw at The Lambs Go Bar in Fitzroy (a place with over 100 beers). :D
