I never want to see AA be the first hand I'm dealt. It's freaking terrible, you raise and half the table calls because no one thinks you'd have a hand first up.

Isn't that a good thing?

I know what he's saying tho, no one has respect for you at the start, so they take you one, AA against 3 other players going all in, doesn't look so good.

Playing online I tend to play a wider range of hands than I do live. Just recently I've stepped up to 2/3 NLHE and have found KQ to be a disaster hand. On 1/2 I played it a lot and it was profitbale. Unfortunately, on 2/3 I got hammered with it a few times by AK or AQ. It's certainly an expensive starting hand if you aren't aware of its pitfalls. On 1/2 opponents call raises with KJ, KT and even suited K9, K8, K7. They don't do it as often on 2/3. I found out the hard way.

I was stung hard with Aces recently!! Got stitched up with pocket aces when someone hit trips on the river and then got knocked out with a set of aces when someone hit a flush on the river I hate the river!!! Was close to drowning myself in it after that episode

I've had them 6 times today, have played them 6 different ways (I did win once when the blinds folded) and lost 5 different ways.

One I raised all the way to be run down by A7os with river A
One I raised all the way on a 9 hi board to be run down by river 9.
