That's the D-Gen's Late Show, I take it? Yeah, agree with you if it is.

Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge caused many a belly larf during its short stay on the box. Ali G tickled the funny bone at times. Various incarnations of the Alexei Sayle show deserve a mention, too!

There's plenty of others...just can't think of 'em right now. :o

The Late Show is one of my favorite all-time shows. Full Frontal comes close too...I still love this sketch from Working Dog crew...

Rob Sitch as Imran Khan

"I make love to you like a tiger, like a tiger...grrr" as he makes claws at the screen.

and

Tony Martin singing a piss take of R.E.M's 'Stand'

The Hitman

Rob's Yasser Arafat was a pisser too!

I don't know if this qualifies, but The Panel is the funniest show on TV.

I honestly think that Rob Sitch is the funniest man in Australia.... I'm in stitches whenever I watch him in anything... especially in 'Frontline'.

Ali G, any old Monty Python shows, Hale and Pace, Alas Smith and Jones and a couple of Pommy comedy's on the Comedy Channel, The Comedy Store and The Frank Skinner Show.

In fact, most pommy comedy's crap all over American or Australian stuff. With a few exceptions, and Full Frontal is not one of them. :p

The Late Show for mine. What's yours?
Ahh, The Late Show - definitely. My mates and I used to watch it every week at my house whilst we threw back a few bottles of home brew. Then it was off to the nightclubs to get more drunk and rejected by women. My favorite sketch was 'Shirty - The Slightly Agressive Bear'. I loved it when Tommy finished his news segment and Rob Sitch always took the pi$$ with his "Thanks Tommy, that was champagne comedy!"

Yep, gotta be The Late Show. Got the D-Generation's tapes just recently. Not exactly classics, but you can see how the Late Show got its genesis.

Does anyone have all of the Late Show's tapes? According to DeGenocide, I'm missing one about car crashes or something (could be a Scared ****less compilation?).

The pissweak kids were always a highlight - anything mick and tony did together was great too. Tony Martin was the best IMO.

Tony, Mick and Santo for mine. :D It was just a great show, every time there was heaps of laughs, consistent unlike so much comedy these days.

The english original version is way better then the american version. Drew Carey is funny but Clive Anderson (the nost of the english one) rocks!

Ive seen both and they are both pretty much as funny as eachother seen as they get mainly the same comedians on, its just a different host. Clive is better than Drew so check out the English version.

I am the proud owner of all of 'The Best Of The Late Show' tapes :D

'Not only, But Also' Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. 'Q' Spike Milligan. 'Alas Smith and Jones'. 'French and Saunders' 'Alexie Sayle's Stuff'. A gem from the mid-eighties was a series called 'Who Dares, wins'.

'The Fast Show' is the only sketch one of recent times ive really put on the not to miss list.

GOD yes!!!!!!!! We have a tape of some of that, Mum's a huge fan and oh gosh there's some funny stuff on there!!!!!!! The leaping nuns of St Beryl's are one of my favourites!!!!!!!! "Do you mind if I call you mother?" "That would hardly be appropriate my boy, call me madam" :D LOL oh geez. I'm sure I quoted that wrong but close enough. :D

The team who did WDW also did Chelmsford 123, a sitcom set in Chelmsford, Essex in 123 AD. There were only six episodes I think, and after being screened originally one summer around 1990-91, they haven't been repeated. It was really funny, and I'm just curious if anyone else actually remembered it.
