Fev's contract

has fev earnt the right to be paid (as reported $500,000 a season) in his next contract?

i know he has a heap of potential and KPP fwds are are rare commodity in the game, he has improved out of sight under pagan.

but

there is still question marks over his ability to perform under constant pressure of home and away football over 22 rounds, his attitude or mindset at times does not seem to be 100% on football.

in his upcoming contract should we try to pursudae fev to earn about $300,00 - $350,000 for the next two years and if he improves further and proves himself to be top shel consistantly then he can earn the big bucks of $500,000 +

I think alot will be depend on how he perfoms when he is back in the team. I honestly believe we can't afford to lose him, however, i don't think he'll leave either. He's progressed so far under Pagan and he just needs to take the next step.

For mine, all up, at the moment, i think something like $350k a year would be about right.

Market pressure will demand higher than $350k, I too believe that Fev will stay (for a variety of already mentioned reasons), & I reckon some offers will definitely top $500k & may even go closer to 600k.

Obviously we wont want to pay him that much, but will probably & hopefully see eye to eye at $400k, with some incentives for Coleman medal, 100 goals, 22 games, etc along the way as a carrot.

If we need to pay him his extras, he's earnt the $400k anyway.
