ive noticed that the covers of the fifa 08 game are different from eachother, for example in aus they have rooney and ronaldinho at the front, i bought a copy from the us and it has 3 players at the front...

i know this mite not have any effect on the game itself but i just wanted to make sure if they arnt different in any way...

Na there not different. I think the covers might just appeal more to the certain countries. For example, in Spain, Sergio Ramos is on the front because that would sell more.

EA have been doing it for a while

Fight night had Ricky Hatton for the UK and Roy Jones Jr for the US
FIFA has Rooney and Ronaldinho for the UK and different for the US
NBA Live has been putting Tony Parker and Pau Gasol on the cover in France and Spain for a while now

we would have had Archie on the cover, but EA didnt reach the contract agreement with the A-League in time

It's just a way to appeal to the people that may not know everyone in that particular sport, and having a local appeals to them
