Who's had the most behind the play incidents over the last few years, i would think you should get your facts right.

I dunno, who?

But if you asked for the most memorable over the last five years it'd be hard to go past Hally.

They wern't behind the play, they were just off it.

? You're splitting hairs. Hall's hit on Staker was the definition of behind play.

He was leading and Staker was hanging on then he decked him, he had warned him all night that if he kept hanging on he would belt him ! Just so you know, when a player is leading it is part of the play. Thats how he got off for the love tap to Moose.

Just so you know, he wasn't leading, the ball was going down the Eagles end when it happened. Watch the tape again, completely behind play.

And he got off the tap on Goose (not Moose) because they deemed it not hard enough contact. Again, the ball was travelling down the other end when it happened and was at least 20m off the ball.

Getting a bit senile bedders.

EDIT: Just re-watched both incidents to make sure I wasn't talking out of my ass. Quartermain describes the Hall incident as 'behind play' and the ball was travelling down the other end when it happened. When Goose went down, the ball was moving out of our F50 and resulted in a ball up in the centre square before a Baker clearence saw it kicked further away from our F50.

He didn't get off the Goose incident, he just received a reprimand, not a week's suspension. At that time they had an "in play" / " behind play" distinction within the MRP grading criteria, which has since been abolished. It raised a few eyebrows at the time, but somehow the MRP managed to convince itself that the incident was involved in play. I suspect that had it not been such a big match the following week, the outcome might have been different.

Roos is copping it from the AFL now, Demitreo has slammed his actions.. a hearing will be held on Friday Roos may be suspended..
