I found this DVD at JB's this afternoon and sat down and watched it when I got home. It's a documentary on the history of the band with recent interviews and live performances, including one on the Rooftop of a New York Building one year before The Beatles. It's interesting to see 60's rockers now, especially from the "drug" era, but these guys didn't age as badly as some of the others I have seen. Grace has definately changed, now with snow white hair. One of the great bands of their time, and in Grace Slick and one of the most powerful and erotic voices in Rock Music.
For fans (like myself) or for people who are interested music or music of the era.
Some of the songs on the dvd are:

Somebody to Love & High Flying Bird - Live at the Monterey Pop Festival
White Rabbit, Crown of Creation & lather - from The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.
House at Pooneil Corners - New York Rooftop Performance. Directed by Jean-Luc Godard.
Embryonic Journey - Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

We Built this City?
Nothing's Going to Stop us Now?

Mwahahaha hahahah hahaha hahaha. It's a toss up between those two and Billy Joel's Tell Her About It and Uptown Girl as to which pair is the gayest ever combo.

Grace was hot as! The song "Triad" is interesting....kind of goes through the real life couplings of band members.... VERY honest song, but still with that mysterious Airplane sound.

White Rabbit is one of my all time favourite songs. Top stuff! Unfortunately the video copy they have on Rage has all these bits from Full Metal Jacket spliced into it. DVD might be the go. Have to get an Xbox now.....

I remember hearing her in a documentary say that she thinks she doesn't have a great singing voice, but she had a fantastic set of lungs. I agree with the lungs, she could always be heard over the instruments, no matter how loud they were, but I always thought she had one of the finest voices in Rock.
