To be fair, the real reason I want to see St Kilda win a flag is to share that happiness with my loved ones; my mother, who is the reason I barrack for the Saints, and my three boys.

Here's hoping the boys have one of those big old fat wins on Saturday where you can just sit through the last quarter with a smile on your face laughing at bad umpiring decisions because they don't matter. Condolences Snake.

I'm sorry, but I hadn't got on here for a few days, and it's just taken until now for me to get into this thread.

As a token of my sincerest condolences on your loss, CALL ME SNAKE , I've added a kind of black armband to my avatar. As a person who has also lost his beloved mother, I want to say, she'd be proud of you for the way you've described her here. She was clearly a noble woman, who raised a noble son.

Perse to be honest i struggled with the decision of whether i should mention something as personal as a the passing of a loved one on a Footy site .
But footy was such a huge part of my Mums life. And her genuine love of the Saints was something that i was very proud about, so in the end her footy story just seemed like an obvious fit to talk about to other Saints tragics .
We placed her Saints Scarf in her casket and id like to think she'll be wearing it proudly forever.
The kind words from yourself and others have been a big help.

Dude, if we were the club, we'd all be wearing black arm bands on Saturday for one of us in grief. While I recognise that we're all just a bunch of fans on a footy site, I also consider you, and the rest of the gang here, to be my friends. And hey, the journey we take with the club is the closest we'll get to going out there and playing, at least for most of us.

Bugger it, I guess I'm saying, mate, what I think all of us are trying to say is that we're brothers-and-sisters in arms. I'll wear a black armband for a brother.
