Leave waite down back, he is one of the worst kicks for goal i have seen.

franklin is a pretty horrid shot at goal 30 goals, 24 behinds this season and 73 goals 62 behinds last year. the ball come to him so often that it doesnt matter how poor his kicking is he'll still get a bag. so if waite finds enough of the ball within the 50 im sure he will manage to kick a few bags

The problem is waite wont get it as often as Franklin as he would be playing up the ground more to allow Fev enough space to operate. I have seen Waite kick out on the full on a number of occassions from 15 to 40 metres out. He has even missed from the top of the goal square a few times.

too just kreuzing
yeh he has missed a few sitters
but that is something he can work on
fev can miss a few sitters aswell

too peekay
why would we bring sentanta aisake and ackland
that would be a nice way to murder ourselves
and wiggons at full forward
cant see that happening
sentanta will be back in
and personaly
as much as i dislike hackland
i would give him another chance
but not on a big ground like subiaco

No, No, No, leave Waite at CHB. We need to settle at least one end of the ground. We now have all our run with, running Half Back players injured (Walker, Bannister, Thornton & Houlahan)
We can only have so many "kids" in the side before we start playing like the "Ants".
Now we have Hampson injured (maybe back, but not fit) and maybe Cloke.
As much as some don't like Ackland he is back in the Ants after a long injury and he cannot be fit??
So, we are missing half our best backlne, half of our potentially good talls and our likely CHF in Hartlett.
Therefore: Wiggins must come in and go to FF, Fevola to CHF.
On the basis Hampson is not available and Cloke is injured we must bring in Ackland for the ruck, Sentana for the back half and Aisake to the ruck and FP.
Then we need as many small runners we can fit in.
If you were West Coast you would be thinking that Carlton will fade in the game due to their exhaustive game last week (injuries prevented rotation) only a 6 day break and the worst travel gig in the game.
We need to try and get the ball to the ground and have as many small nippy players we can get on the park. This could mean having nearly half the team with less than 20 games each but what choice do we have for this comming week.

Can we please give up on Wiggins?
If and when Carlton make their next finals series he wont be on the lsit so there is no point having him take the spot of someone who needs senior experience.
Using him at full forward makes no sense at all if we want or need to develop forwards. Try out the young kids and see if any of them can play up the front and help Fev out.

wiggins isnt really the full forward type is he?
who else would you suggest come in too play full forward?

It's not just that he isn't the full forward type it's just that he isn't going to improve and his best isn't good enough in 2008. He always busted his balls for the blues and we all appreciate that but he doesn't have the talent to get a regular game in any other team and as such we should be planning our future without him.
I really don't know that we have too many options to play full forward. Fev is awesome when he is leading and marking above his head and when he plays his best football he kicks 90% of his goals from beyond 40m out so that leaves us the option for a tall to play deep in the forward line. A resting ruckman maybe? If we had someone like Cloke playing deep he offers a marking option as well as good defensive mentality. maybe even Setanta working from the goalsquare. Apart from that we need to look at people who havent been tried yet. With all the focus on our midfield over the past few years and Fev doing so well up front it might be an area that has been overlooked.

yeah i have always liked wiggo
i remember seeing him in the car park after one match
he is alot bigger than i thought
it might be worth giving him a go in the goal square
it is also an option to bring ackland in and play cloke kruezer and ackland rotating through full forward
