Surprised it hasn't already been brought up, but the coverage of the draft was very ordinary. Top 10 reversed didn't work, all it did was confirm what the clubs before had taken. Tom Scully's interview could have been aired at any time. Imagine being 1 of the potential draftees at home and having to look at the bottom of the screen for your name as Lynch, Dunstall and co were reminiscing. Are they out of touch or is it just me.

Was absolutley disgraceful........no concept of how to turn it into a watchable package......won't go ahead next year without some significant overhaul.

Some of the feedback on SEN was interesting...apparently poor old Kevin Sheehan was desperate to listen to the picks as they happened and showed little interest in being on the panel.

We turned the sound down and listened to SEN where you could actually hear the RM's announcing their picks.

Most of the panel seemed more interested in self promotion

It was incredibly confusing watching it at the pub (not because i'd had lots of beers) without volume seeing as they only flashed the players names in tiny font down the bottom of the screen long after the names had been called. they were done so quick i completely missed out selection and had to find out 10 minutes later in the highlights who we took. Crap.

Absolutely disgraceful effort by Foxtel last night. I don't think they could have done a worse job if they tried. Will completely boycott their coverage next year if they decide to keep the same or similar format. Like a couple of other posters, ended up turning the volume down, and listening to SEN.

Very ordinary indeed.

10-1 was a shocking idea, made it less exciting.

The panel was a distraction, bloody Liam Pickering is annoying talking up every draft pick he manages as with Dunstall and Hawthorns picks.

It would be much more interesting watching the draft managers calling out the picks, then go to the panel in the break period between draft rounds with an overview of that round and commenting on the picks.

To say it was very ordinary would be kind. It was absolutely disgraceful.

The most exciting thing about the draft is to see which club is going to choose who, not some stupid panel taking to Gilbee about being drafted back in 1999. 10 - 1 was a bad idea also, that sucked balls.

The coverage couldn't be worse if they tried, tried to have a bit of the Brownlow hoopla, but it just did not work.

They are televising a draft, maybe they should have actually shown the names being read out, instead of chatting with whoever's Mum or Dad.

All every viewer wants to know is who their team picked, and a bit about each player. Then have all the back slapping chit chat you like by the hosts.

Impressive that the AFL and Foxtel couldn't even get the reading out of a list of names right.

Agree completely, then every now and then they would say" Oh Brisbane just pulled a surprise and have taken Matt McGuire" could of and should have had the panel ONLY between rounds and at the end to summarise the picks. Wouldnt be raceing home again next year to watch that format.:thumbsd::mad::thumbsd::mad::thumbsd:

Look... we all know that the ex-footballers know quite a lot about playing the game and being wannabe media celebrities but their problem is that they have become so used to their own self-importance because they were stars on the football field, they love to fill in all the space around them with themselves and **** the rest of the world.

Get a couple of knowledgable journo's out there next year and let them go for it... will be a lot more entertaining :)
