Baring any future injuries when is the earliest we are going to have a full strength side on the track?
I am talking about when McPharlin,Croad,Parker,Longmuir and waterhouse as back in the side.

Croad will be back for round 3, Longmuir will probably be back this week and Waterhouse has played 2 games in the WAFL so if he doesn't play this week it's likely to be poor form as opposed to lack of match fitness.

With McPharlin and Parker - who knows? Both should be back at round 4-5 at the latest.

To be honest, I don't think Waterhouse would be in full strength side at the moment. He is pretty out of touch and we can only hope he regains touch but it will take atleast another 4 to 5 weeks. Still, I won't be expecting big things from Clive.

Yeah, I'd say Waterhouse is fit enough to be playing at AFL level, but I doubt whether he has shown enough form at the moment to make our best 22.

Connolly said that Longmuir and Parker will most likely be playing next week and that other players who had a good pre-season but missed out against Adelaide would be considered. I assume he's referring to guys such as Edgecumbe and Crowley.

I think Chris Connolly will be banking on getting atleast 1 gun a week back from now on so this week it will be J LO , then for the Richmond game it will be Croady then I guess Waterhouse and Parker so realistically it will be round 5-6

This is not a troll

Guys, I think you will find that you don't need Clive anymore.

His last good game, I think was the demolition Derby, which he won off his own boot iirc, and good for him bad for us.

I think with the timber you have grown in his absence that you will find he really doesn't have a place in the side.

As I said, not a troll, but what with him missing nearly two seasons (one full and many games in 2001) he is not going to be an automatic selection even when he is fully fit.

That said, I hope he returns say....round 6...
:D

He's right you know.
There is no reason why a guy shouldn't come back from a two year absence and still be a capable player- heck, we're expecting morrison and read to do exactly that.
However, much as it sticks in my craw, Fremantle are simply a more professional side (on paper) than they once were, and the time of the up and downers like Waterhouse, Cook etc are coming to an end.
With the number of blue ribbon forward options of the ilk of Croad, McPharlin, Pavlich, Longmuir, Medhurst, Farmer etc, I don't think the 2003 brand dockers really have a place for a flashy but unbelievably inconsistent and terrifyingly injury prone player of his age. The team has moved on, and Waterhouse has been left behind. Clive's only hope is to get a look in at this early point in the season whilst other injuries give him the chance of a spot, and then play unrelentingly good footy, stay healthy, and not give the coach an excuse to drop him. If he sustains another serious injury or if he's not a regular again by the end of this year, I don't think he'll still be around. When a (what is, he, 28?) year old player is still yet to put it all together, their time is running out.

Well said.

right him off at your peril guys !!!

Look he aint the most talented or smartest going around at the moment or ever , but he has ticker & speed. Lokk this guy only has to turn it on for 15 minutes & he will kick 3-4 goals and his job for the day is done . Statistics dont lie .. a HF flanker has to kick 2 goals a game to justify his spot in the team and over his career he has done that. Now just cause he misses 2 years of injury it is very easy to write him off. I will not - he is not a favourite of mine at all He actually makes me want to beat the ***** out of him. Guys all I ask is just let him work his way into the team & judge him when he gets there.
