In the next few months my work is looking at doing some fundraising for a charity. It looks like I will be the one organising the effort so I thought I'd ask here for some suggestions/ideas.
We're looking to raise in excess of $5000, rather than just asking everybody for straight up donations I would like to try and make it a bit more of an involved process.
A few ideas that i did have were:
Doing a sausage sizzle/morning tea at work to raise some dollars, not sure if that would bring in much though. Has anyone organised a sausage sizzle fundraiser at Bunnings before? Was it easy/successful/worth it?
Another thought I had was hitting up some local businesses for some goodies/vouchers and then doing a work place raffle.
Organising a function for work colleagues (Golf day, bowling, wine tour), putting an extra 10% on the per head charge as a charity markup or trying to get a bit of a discount because the function is for charity.
Any feedback/suggestions would be great?
