On the radio last night it was said that we dont have any real "gamebreakers" on our list, i was just wondering what you guys thought about this and who you think are and will be gamebreakers in the future?

browny is our only gamebreaker.

Players with potential gamebreaking ability
Deledio bc of his ability to break lines at pace and pinch hit as a marking forward
Tambling bc he has that inate ability to kick goals easily from the midfield.

maybe 1 or 2 of the most recent draftees but way too early a call for that

Id hardly call players like pridis, stenglein, fletcher and Braun gamebreakers ;)

but the gist of your post is correct, compared to every other side barr perhaps carlton we dont measure up. Good indicator of where we're at and should make some deluded supporters wake up and realise we're still a long long way off

cheers mate thats exactly what im getting at :thumbsu:

we still have a long way to go and it will be interesting to see where we are at in the hopeful 2011.

we haven't got any gamebreakers - but we have lots of backbreakers who turn the ball over way too much which cost us goals.

These guys cant work out the teams colors. is it black and yellow or is is it blue and white?

We are the clanger kings :thumbsu:

we have some kids coming through that i reckon could be game breakers. edwards is definatly one and hopefully JON can turn into one same for riewoldt and hughes

Deledio and Brown are definite gamebreakers, Foley did it with those clearance goals last week too (but not much else). Richo gives his all for the 4 quarters and can be dominant, but it rarely does a gamebreaking piece of play rather than sheer persistence of dominance all game until we win (see Round 21 against the Bombers last year).

Polak can be a gamebreaker but doesn't do it often (watch Freo vs West Coast derby 2006 if you don't believe me. Was the clear difference between the two teams). For us he has only shown gamebreaker qualities up forward by kicking 3 goals in half a quarter, and in maybe one other game down back with about 12 big marks.

In the future Tambling looks capable and Jack Riewoldt kicked 3 goals in the last quarter of a Grand Final come-from-behind win last year so I'd say he is a potential game breaker.

Once in a blue moon: Pettifer and even Krakouer has been a gamebreaker a few times, but this is few and far between.

We have them on our list, they just aren't performing as often or as brightly as we need to win.

plenty of ballbreakers and heartbreakers ... , f... all game breakers
So true i don't get on here and bag players....but iv'e just about had enough of that so called skipper who should not be wearing Jack Dyer's number he is more like a traffic cop than a skipper.To much finger pointing for my likeing i just want him to sheperd & get a hard ball he is frustrating me so much.:mad:

We are the clanger kings :thumbsu:
Our Clanger Kings:
1. Foley 50
2= Richo 49
2= Tuck 49
4. Raines 42
5. Bowden 40
6. Johnson 38
7. Deledio 43
8. Pattison 34
9. Tivendale 32
10. King 28

Some surprising names appearing on that list when you consider they are supposed to be our best ball users.

As a percentage of total disposals would be more useful. Has anyone got time to do this?

dont over rate our players mate, just bc they may have a big game once in a blue moon doesnt put them at gamebreaker status. A gamebreaker is the moneyman, someone you can rely on to get you out of a pickle when its hot time and again. Polak, Petts, Krak, Foley and Deledio have not done it. Be realistic!

A couple of the young blokes might get there, but they definitely arent there yet, dont kid yourself
