TEEN'S 'GANG RAPE' CLAIM

A group of Premiership footballers is at the centre of an investigation into the alleged rape of a 17-year-old girl.

The 17-year-old reported an alleged attack to police in central London, Scotland Yard confirmed.

The alleged incident is believed to have taken place at a West London hotel over the weekend and involved eight Premiership footballers, according to The Sun newspaper.

The Sun reported that the girl consented to sex with a player from one Premiership club - but seven other footballers from another top division club then forced themselves on her.

The players have not been named, but are said to include "at least one international and several other household names".

The girl's claims are being investigated by detectives on Operation Sapphire, the Met's task force to tackle sex crimes.

Detectives will take a statement from the girl before making further inquiries with anyone she claims as being involved in the alleged attack.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "We can confirm that the Metropolitan Police Service have received an allegation of rape from a 17-year-old female.

"At this stage it would be inappropriate to comment further."

A source said the investigation was still at an early stage.

Well as the only 3 out of town teams in London this weekend were I think Newcastle, Aston Villa & Liverpool that narrows the field down unless for some strange reason a London premiership club were staying in a hotel.Liverpool still had to play on Sunday so I doubt they were out on the razzle.

My first reaction with these things normally is that it's all made up in the hope of making a few quid but whether she was r*ped or whether she got invloved in a bit of an orgy situation whats' the betting that Newcastle players are involved?

Trot out a few of the usual suspects a certain half caste midfielder who has previous for filming himself screwing chicks in Greece, a French fullback who's already seen off one police investigation for rape, a certain nasty midfeilder with a history of anti social/criminal behaviour?
