G'day everyone, as some of you may know I am a bit of a struggeling hip hop artist. I am actually done about 10 songs, on an album I am working on releasing. Just wondering if anyone is interested in that sort of music, if they can check out my web page and have a listen to my music and tell me what they think?

my page is www.bebo.com/deepdarwin

any form of criticism is welcomed, its all about stepping up my music.

DO NOT ACT SO SURPRISED MISTER! SINCE YOU HAVE ENTERED THIS FORUM YOU HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT A DISTRACTION TO THE POSTERS AROUND YOU!

(I am sure you have heard similar quotes in your schooling history, I know I have)

I can only see about four. The rhymes are fresh but i find the beats are just a little a bit simple. But yeah, flow is dope.

pz

Yeah I have only put 4 tracks up from the 10 I have completed. Cheers for the comment, im pretty new at making my own beats starting to get my head around it and buying new equipment to improve what I can do.

Once again thanks for the comment mate!!

Good stuff mate. Sounds good. :thumbsu: But for some reason i thought u would sound more like Gary Coleman.:p Who are your influences?

Cheers for all the comments! Hahaha nah I dont sound like Gary Coleman, and surprisingly im not a dwarf african american either! :p ;)

I listen to alot of different hip hop artists, from old school A.T.C.Q, De La Soul, Slick Rick, to Nas, Notorious B.I.G, 2pac, Lupe Fiasco, Joe Budden. So pretty much a whole variety of rap besides alot of the main stream stuff like 50 cent, Eminem etc, its not really my style.

Hey Rough,

I'm gonna give it a listen tonight. But before I do, a quick question...

Is it AU hip hop or am I going to hear a (US) accent. Not picking fights, but my ears struggle with US accents from local artists.

Also, forget Big Mick. It's a one way fight and I'm bored already.

BTW, who's your favourite AU MC?

Mine's a tie between Joelistics and Pressure.

Mate its pure Aussie hip hop, no accents. I hate local artists you rap with a yank accent!

I dont know who would be my favourite, I like Pegz' shit, love his Axis album. Bit of a fan of rainman as well!

Rough, Had a listen and it is something to be truly proud of. What a lot of people can forget when critiquing or giving feedback is that before that sound or image or whatever was a blank space. In a three minute track can be months and months of sweat, so props to you for the labour and the inspiration!

Around, around was my favourite no doubt. I loved the simple effect of the keys. Could imagine a clip for it, and I can help make it for you if you are ever down here for any decent length of time. Oh, are you self producing your tracks? What is it like trying to get heard up there? Couldn't imagine it would be easy.

Anyway, if there is anyway I can help in the future, please let me know.

Wilco

P.S. Get out a heads up if you get a show in Melbourne.
