[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Racing NSW Chief Executive, Peter V'landys, today expressed sympathy over the sad passing of former Board member Graeme Pash.[/FONT]
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Mr Pash, 72, served on the Racing NSW Board as Sydney Turf Club nominee from August 2003 until his retirement in April of this year.[/FONT]
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]"As well as being one of the industry's most able administrators, Graeme was one of the nicest persons in racing. His death is not only a great loss to his family but also to the racing industry," Mr V'landys said.[/FONT]
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]"We always joked with Graeme that if we wanted world peace all we had to do is send Graeme in. His charm, sincerity and kindness was embraced by everyone.[/FONT]
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]"He had a long and distinguished career in the corporate sector, racing industry and sport, including terms as Chairman of the Sydney Turf Club and Deputy Chairman of the Sydney Swans."[/FONT]
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Mr V'landys said the Mr Pash's contributions as a Board member of Racing NSW were of enormous value to the racing industry. His contribution was so great it could not be measured and was priceless.[/FONT]
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]"He loved his thoroughbreds and was a member of the NSW Racehorse Owners Association and owner of Black Type winners Majestically (winner of 10 races and nearly $700,000) and Havana Wind.[/FONT]
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]"Graeme handled his ill-health just like he did life - with much courage, determination and character, and he will be sorely missed by all of those he touched during his life."[/FONT]
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Racing NSW passes on its deepest sympathies to Graeme's wife Julie, family and countless friends.[/FONT]
