i didn't get a chance to watch the game on the weekend, but why did Polak get so few touches? did he come off injured early? is he playing a new role? or did he just have a stinker and sat on the pine alot?

cheers

Tezza stuck him in the forward pocket for most of the match and didnt need to be there while Schulz and Richo were getting all the ball.

However Tezza left him there as a dead man basically even while we got r*ped the other way and it took 'til half way through the last quarter until Tezza moved him down back finally.

If you havent noticed I blame Terry for his bad game, not Polak.

regardless of where you play you can make a contribution. fridays game was juast another of many non contribution games by polak over the course of his career.

Wasn't at the game so couldn't see if it was a case he couldn't get into the game, or if he was presenting time after time, but ignored with everyone ignoring him and going to Richo, and if not Richo, Schulz.

Of course you could then say, a good forward is able to find his way to where the ball is, or at least demands the ball...but this I think has been one of the big reason's why Schulz has struggled when down forward, the big guy demands everything, and everyone delivers. On Fri it could have been a case of the deliverers depriving him of any chance...(or he could have had a shocker;) ).

If you are asking for Dreamteam reasons...don't worry..this week, 10 contested marks, 15 kicks, 12 handballs, 5 tackles and 3 hitouts, 2 goals 2 behinds- from CHB:D !!

welcome to the graham polak show circa 2002-2006

get used to it

hang on a sec.
He was integral by his "exclusion", in a team making a run for th finals. Now that they franked that faith by ejecting him, are you saying that we have the x factor and can see what no other side can, with this dude? Bwahaahaaa....I must say this though. In the first 2 games, if it werent for him in the ruck, we would have had our asses wiped. Even though he was under the pump size wise, he was a plus, against the supreme negative that was Patto.
Apart from that, and i will repeat it for the well "oiled" tigers. Cant get over the ALan Martello feeling with this dude. Just as I cant get rid of the Mitch feeling with Tambling, and that one is scaring me. ;)

Wash your filthy mouth out with Velvet soap!

:) WROTE this some time last year ..... and the year before ...and the year before that.

Tigers desperately need to recruit a key defender, or draft one .... probabl;y a centre half back.

Wait.....isn't that what we targeted Polak for?

All summer I read how he would be played predominantly down back.

Seems to me he plays anywhere but!

Don't worry about Polak why does gasper get away with no critisim he is a joke when is going to keep feet. Our backline will improve so much when finally goes down to Coburg

because terry wouldnt want to look like a goose dropping him after saying how important he was to play fullback this year

id love to see his matchup this week

Because our magnificent coach doesnt know where to play him so just puts him on the bench.

I like Terry's Triangle and even when its working (as it was in the first half) one player usually misses out, but still takes a tall opponent and gives them something to think about. This time Polak was the one missing out. At one stage it was even a quadrangle, with Simmo down there as well. I agree that the move onto Rocca should have happened earlier in the second half though.
