AC/DC were to play at the Sydney closing olympics but knocked it back when they were told they'd have to mine.

It was also the reason Cat Empire had no words to any of the things they played.

As much as i'm not the biggest fan of Delta, you can't slag her off for every little thing.

Rolling Stones didn't mime, but given the Super Bowl is home to the wardrobe malfunction, i don't think they'd care too much.

I didn't see Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, so i can't comment.

And i don't recall seeing Angry at an Opening Ceremony.

i don't think that logic is correct. i'm not sure whether they mimed or not, but since the wardrobe malfunction the superbowl entertainment has been ridiculously regulated since mtv and abc got fined millions of dollars for showin janets left t!t

If you've got so much smoke all round you and are performing in the middle of the MCG it only makes sense to use a backing track , unless you want to sound like the Rolling Stones at the Superbowl.
