Greyhounds can be purchased from a few hundred dollars up too the top of the range bred dogs which u r looking at $3-4000.

It really depends what sort of dog you are after..
If you are serious about having a decent dog to run around and win you money, then good dogs will cost you around $4k..
If you are just in it to have a bit of fun and dont really care about the winning side of it, then you can get cheaper dogs out of decent breeding for around $600-$800..
Just post on here if you need help, or numbers of breeders.. Be very willing to help..

Thanks for the info. That sounds encouraging, what would training costs etc. be?

Looking forward to reading your selections for the Meadows tomorrow ;)

Most trainers around the country train for free, but when the dog wins prize money they take a certain cut of the winnings, usually 40 or 50%.. When you think about it, isnt that much.. Hope you have some luck with buying a greyhound
