Grant Thomas needs to put his personal issues with his players aside. He cannot pick and choose who he befriends and who he works on. We lost Everitt because of this. Everitt had a contract, it was St.kild that wanted him to go, now Heath is GT's next target. Heath is an excellent midfielder who contains presence and toughness.

And what the hell is Brian Waldron doing in the coaches box. Seriously, our match plans dont need business professionals like GT and Waldron. Common saints, we are known for stuffing things up, lets get a real coaching staff.

Personal issues

GT is an absolute professional.
He has the future of the club at heart.
There is no way he'd be prejudiced about players, he just wants players to be committed to the cause.
Black is not tough, he is softer than Woewodin at Pie-land.
He only slams team-mates at training. It's like fighting with your brothers. It's much easier than picking a fight with someone out on the street!!!!
Look at the players who have blossomed under GT.
V2, Gehrig, Jones (97 form), Lenny...
GT is an absolute genius.
Look, the man's got 8 kids.
He's used to not playing favourites.
Get real

Good assumption mate. This is like saying players like, Riewoldt, Harvey and Hamill have played well under the "expertise" of GT.

We are not privy to the inner workings of the club.
I, like many thousands of others, were devastated about how GT got the job...we all thought it was just "jobs for the boys".
I think we've had a pretty good year, OK we had some bad losses, but we're all tired of sacking coaches every year.
It's time for some stability.
The board appears to be stable, everyone appears to be working well together, the team seems to have gelled pretty well, we're looking forward to a very bright future. Much brighter than Geelong/Richmond/Melbourne.
Membership is up.
In the days when Lockett/Loewe/Winmar/Harvey were the only players people knew about, there appeared to be some internal strife with the players and board. With the players on the ground then, the team should have done much much better than it did.
Let's not go back to those days.
This is the best chance at long-term success since I don't know when.

GT only wants players who he think can take the saints to a premership and if he didn't think Everitt was one of these that's fine with me.

I wasn't very happy about how spides left but he wasn't enjoying his football at the club and wasn't committed.

I think GT is the man for the job and I'm right behind him all the way.
