Guitarists?

So I bought an acoustic guitar a week ago, and being a beginner (and I do mean beginner, I don't even know which ends which, basically), I'm wondering how to tune the bugga?
It came with a tuner (Cherub WST-520GB) and I'm just wondering what to do with it?! How do I tune using this thing?
Anyone know? Ta in advance.

it will have a speaker and a microphone in it, turn it on and hit the string, and it will tell you what note your playing, and if its off ajust the knob thingy

Bob Dylan would prolly tell you its in tune.

What the second poster said is right.Check out the light and when it highlights the note and both side showing no sharps or flats, then you're on the note.May also be an idea (if you want to), to get to know the sound of the notes so that way you can eventually learn how to tune the instrument aurally as well.

Standard tuning is EADGBE starting from the lowest (thickest) string

If your like me you will just be living in standard tuning or Drop D.
