I think Hadley's game the other night was very underrated. He made a couple of errors, but for his first hit-out for us I was very impressed. It's no coincidence to me that when he moved into the middle, Bryce was suddenly able to dominate.

My question is, if fit, should we throw him straight into the centre square? Could he be that tough in-and-under type we're looking for (assuming Bentick can't get back in the team)?

mark my words, if this guy stays fit he will be a gun. He is a natural football talent, he shits all over bentick.

I would use him as a replacement mid, but spend most his time on the half back line. Send him into the mid when we need a bigger body in the middle.

What I really noticed about his game last week is his decision making, especially in tight areas. Several times he was able to collect the ball low to the ground, and then raise his hands not allowing the tackler to trap the ball, this then letting him dispose of the ball over the defenders head to a running team mate.

I was also encouraged to read the quotes from Judd about how highly he rated Hadley.

This guy is a gun, I live in Brisbane and I know how highly the lions supporters rated him up here. Hope he stays fit and plays 200 + for the mightly blues.

I thought he was good considering he's coming back from surgery and hasn't played a match for a while.

I was rapt when we picked him up last year. The guy can play.

Very big Fan of his game the other night, did some very good things, would put him miles in front of Bentick in terms of sheer footballing ability, would start in the center square with Judd and Stevo, then would rotate them with Murphy, Gibbs, carrots and Walker through parts of games, possibly Jackson also (run with player).

Bentick misses out for mine, barring Injury to another midfielder should not be played in front of any of the players I just mentioned particularly Hadley, hard worker can find the hard ball, just not good enough for AFL standard.

He will be a great asset for our club. Gets the hard ball and has a go all the time. Knows how to use it too. He is what we need at the club, show the young fella's how its done.

Very happy with this pick up. Judd, Hadley & Stevens will probably be our starting midfield at the end of 2008. Sorry Carrots. love you but you might need to play 2nd fiddle off the bench.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised no-one had mentioned it till now. Didn't star, but did nicely.

Hopefully he strings some games together and hits some consistent form going into the season.:thumbsu:

I thought he looked like a player who would probably be in the starting 22 at any AFL club, just in terms of his poise and decision making.

That mark he took on the wing whilst running backwards was a cracker. As much as Carrazzo gives 100%, I reckon Hadley's possibly already in fromt of him in terms of getting a gig in the starting midfield.
