I'm sure most have seen it.

He didn't seem too happy with Cousins. A lot of us gave him votes, but Hardwick was quick to say he was one of our main culprits, by not playing wet weather footy. Probably got very little chance of being on the list 2011.

He was also asked about Tambling, but defended him and slightly changed the subject. I think all you Tambling knockers may have to get used to him because I think Hardwick will stick with him :thumbsu:

I think the real test as to where we are at will be this week against the Pies. How we will respond? No doubt the players/coaches are dissappointed, but will they respond and bring back the tenacity we had for the past 6 weeks?

Haven't seen the presser, might have to check it out.

It was noticeable that our intensity was down yesterday, especially compared to the Swans game. But one thing which was very obvious yesterday was that we still have a bit of work to do with our defensive structures.

I think North would have scored 5-6 goals on the rebound. Either from a turnover, or from a play where we had the ball deep in our forward line for a period of time. All of a sudden a quick transfer of play saw them get the ball over our zone, and we were out-numbered in the backline, resulting in easy goals.

Very rarely did we have a quick smooth transition into our forward line, it was usually stagnant. A couple of times, in particular early, we messed up some forward good movements with handling/skill errors. I think that helped sapped our confidence a bit also.

There is no youtube clip up so far but can you get to foxsports media player? If so the conference is up here :thumbsu:

Ps. Nice tipping rank Sante!

is it Cousins fault that King makes a meal of one of his slick handball that costs us a goal.

Cousins is going to be looking for the handball to the bloke who will drive it forward. Not sure if it was so wet that that component is seen as a bloke not playing in accordance with the conditions.

Probably knows Tambling is a sensitive bloke who is not going to be better if the coach vents about his performance in the press but im sure he knows that he has a decision to make on him in the next couple of months.

I missed the press conf. But after reading the Hird v Hardwick interview over the weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if Cousins doesn't play on next year. Maybe the sleeping pill incident was the icing on the cake.

Haven't seen the PC but if the OP is correct then it isn't looking good for Cousins next year unfortunately. He seems to have changed his tune since Cousins latest drama. Not good.

I'm a defender of Tambling but if you can defend him yet criticise Cousins on last weeks game something is up.

May also have been a kick up the proverbial to let the players know that their effort was unacceptable, with Cuz as the scapegoat (aka Blight with his Pittman was pathetic or Bomber with Gazza was just ok after the Blues game).

If he wasn’t happy with Cuz this week. What will he expect against Collingwood . At least Cuz and Tuck got their hands on the ball . Against Collingwood they will have no chance!
Dusty is tired and won’t be able to break a tag. It’s going to be ugly!!
Fair enough to say the players didn’t come to play but not sure what happened to the coaching after half time. He couldn’t match it with Scott, what will Malthouse do to him!
