I have no beef with GWS but Shaw playing next year is one of those players playing one too many years mate.

Final series showed he was a weak link on your side. He was pretty poor and had slowly been heading in that direction throughout the year.

I wont be surprised if he starts next year in the 1sts and then gets put in the NEAFL. Club should of moved him on but I doubt they'd get anything for him so hereon lies to why he is still playing on next year. Most of it will be NEAFL next year.

It's not always obvious who reads the thread before posting. From your post I deduced you hadn't. Apologies if I got that wrong.

I think people get confused about the large gap between giving up an AA spot, and not being a useful member of the team.
Like everyone he'll have to earn his spot in the one's and it's an area of depth for us, even with Wilson leaving. I'm confident he will.

That's what people do. Bryce Gibbs will be going back to Adelaide every year until he does or retires.

No he wont if Stevie J and Deledio this year and Griffen of past couple of years are to go by, they just keep getting selected no matter how badly they are cooked.

But didn't you know he was AA last year? And he can't just drop off. It's not like a better footballer in Matt Boyd didn't do just the same

Good news if they were trying to wind him up but realistically I think he's worth a spot on their list given he's sacrificed some dough by extending his deal and will take a McVeigh role where he's right on the periphery of the team and organising the backline. If they find 7 better defenders or have a down year and aren't in contention then he gets dropped.

Richmond carried Ivan Maric and won the flag this year. There's not enough talent for every team to use 45 list spots on players in their prime.

You'd need to read and comprehend the discussion to unde rstamd the relevance, clearly. But in a accurate sense your pist is entirely irrelevant to a thread on the trade board. He is contracted, just been extended for another year and we're delighted. If you want to be silly and try and justify a claim he will be traded feel free.

So Kennedy replaces Wilson.At this stage Buntine and Perryman are next in line to replace Shaw.There not there yet though.Unless we trade someone in Shaw is definitely in our best 22next year and hopefully those above make it difficult for Shaw to keep his spot in 2019.
