Not an informative topic, nor one open for debate - just a simple HELLO to Mac!

He told me tonight that when bored or with extra time on his hands he reads bigfooty!

So as promised here is my hello Mac Tolliday message!

Dunno dude. But all I do is post my opinions and / or questions to the lions fans here.

I believe Mac is on the Brisbane Lions board as one of the old Fitzroy/Melbourne based Lions fans representative.

A staunch supporter of all things Lions, post and pre 1997.

While on the topic of the board - I'd like to congratulate the club for pushing to maintain the Melbourne based members presence on the board. The board is meant to contain (I believe) 2 Melbourne based Lions connected folk... I think the club has pushed some new clause through that says if 2 Melbourne based folk don't nominate, then a Melbourne based Member will be appointed as an honourary board member (or something like that) so that the opinions of the Melbourne-based members will still be considered in an board decisions.

If anyone can explain it better than I have, please do.... anyhow it sounds like a positive initiative to me taking into consideration if a "what if" scenario happens in the future.

Yeah pretty close Adey - Mac used to be on the board, retired last year (or the end of the year before?) under the ASIC age regulations for board members. He has been kept on by the Lions in a marketing type role, as a liaison and link between alot of the Fitzroy community and the Brisbane Lions. For example it was Mac I saw giving the grand tour to the coahcing staff of the Fitzroy Reds a couple of weeks ago at the gabba.
