MCG record:

Previous two season records:
2015: 9-5
2016: 7-7 (Is affected by 2 top up Essendon games.)

This year: 10-2

The two games we lost at the MCG this year:
1. We were up by 40 in the 2nd (I missed this game, probably why we lost)
2. We were up late in the last.

So it's your fault we weren't top then....

We made it a hostile cauldron on Friday night. Not easy in a 100K stadium. Anyone who has been to Subi or Adelaide will know how hostile and vocal the crowds are there. For the first time we made those them both look tame on Friday. For those who have only been to the G or Etihad that's the kind of atmosphere that opposition teams confront interstate but on a smaller scale. If we could do that at every home game we would maintain that win loss ratio.

After watching the replay, I tend to agree. I knew we outnumbered them but whenever they were lining up for goal the boos and jeers when they missed was very much like something you'd expect out of Subi.

I've been to subi many a time and while the one sided crowd effects the umpiring and lifts their players, I don't think it's as aggressive as we were on Friday.

We booed and jeered the cats within an inch of their lives! Haha

And we should 100% do it again against WCE or GWS.

Couldn't imagine Real Madrid fans have Barca come to visit the Bernabeu for a Champions league final and them being polite about it. And you can take that across any sport in the world.

I drove across for the Adelaide game at the start of the year for my first Tiger interstate trip, and I can confirm that the "one way crowd" makes for an intimidating experience.

There were a couple of moments on Friday night that I just stood and took it all in, was marvellous to be a tiger!

Spot on it was very aggressive on Friday. I was sitting in M31 in the Ponsford an in the first quarter we were all booing our lungs out at every shot at goal. I'm sure we got in the Geelong players heads. As you know they missed them all and just seemed rattled.

If we can have a remote impact on the game, we need to. If you're able to get tickets to the prelim, don't let everyone at home down. Yell, scream, carry on until you can no longer talk then take a few cough lollies and go again. Not only does it impact opposition players, it boosts our own team. When running to our goals as the Geelong song was being played and we were all booing, Josh Caddy had a grin from ear to ear. The players ferocity in the first 5min was a reflection of the crowd.

Don't want to get to deep into the whole home ground issue other than to say shouldn't have been as big an issue as it was made out to be. Simple argument is Geelong have only played two finals at Kardinia Park end of argument except for the AFL and their looking after their love child 5(GWS).

One thing for me is I thought the booing a little extreme I get the tribalism but am not a fan when it occurs in SA and WA. Doesn't take away from the feelings of making it through to a prelim hopefully we have to more wins for the season.

Interstate crowds are simply supporting their team.
If geelong felt they were hard done by richmonds supporters booing them they need to learn to remember that non geelong members have to beg to get tickets to skilled stadium. Every club supporter was given priority to buy tickets for the friday night final. If geelong didnt like us booing they should first be complaining about their supporters not turning up.
Im not a fan of booing but geelong got what they deserved. Richmond have been ridiculed and laughed at for almost 37 years and nobody showed us mercy - the time has come for us to stand together as one and support our team and show no mercy.
