No, I'm not talking about how well he's hung, but,
how good was the tackle that Cookie laid in the last quarter on I think it was McLean. Anyone remember the one?

I'm sure Cookie must of torn tendons to reach that far, and then to hang on!! Sensational. Pretty important tackle too, as they were off out of our attack and challenging in the game as well at that point.

Not here to troll.

But there were 3 errors from Cookie in the 1st qtr that resulted in Melb Goals.

1. Took the tackler on between HB & middle of ground, errant handball, Melb goal.

2. Dead set in front 30 to 35m out on a mark. 1 Point.

3. Ball went straight down the other end, Melb goal.

Just here to nitpick. I am sure I could have found at least just as many errors that Juddy made against Sydney if I was bothered.

It was Bizzel and a game turning tackle.
You have to take the good with the bad and with Cookie there is far more good than bad.

I'm on good behaviour drugs this week, so hopefully I'm won't get baited into a Freo v Eagles debate this week.

I wasn't here to Nitpick but bring some perspective into Cookies performance. If you could be bothered, whether its Judd or Rip Van Winkle performance's against the the Gangarene Gonnads, then yes, I'd be willing to crticise my own players as well.

Like I've said before.... I'm not taking anything away from the Dockers win.

Not the 1st time this year Cookie has choked with a simple kick at goals early in the game! Something he needs to work at for sure.

it was an important tackle in context of the game. Excellent chase, Something I was impressed with all game is that we didn't give up chasing.

Bellies run at the end also deserves mention!

Cookie's kicking, and especially his kicking for goal, has always been a weakness in his game. I would say that most players have weaknesses of one sort or another, and being a dodgy kick on goals is a lot less significant for Cook than it is for a (potential) key forward like McPharlin or Ben Holland.

Cook gets a game based on what he can do, not what he can't, and that tackle was a great example of what he does well.

Fantastic commitment of the body as always, what he lacks in skill he makes up for in endeavour & courage.
The big problem for Freo is that we have three players that all have similar qualities Cook,McMannus & Smith and I don't believe we can accomodate them all in the same team.

The answer is simple, Undertaker.

Never play McManus again.

BTW, I have absolutely no faith in Cook kicking at goal. I also worry when he's clearing the ball out of defensive fiddy with a long kick. Not a good kick, Cooky, but one of the best tacklers in the game.

We need his intensity in the side. :)
