I think we all remember the ruckus that the North flogs created in Round 4 pre their annual drubbing at the hands of the Swans.

Some still haven't learnt their lesson it seems.

Every Norf argument is based on the presumption that one day their team will be the best in the universe, when in reality they aren't even the best team north of Melbourne. They do a lot of tyre pumping when it comes to their players. If they had Schoenmakers they'd claim he'd be the best CHB in the business. Deluded.

Does anyone else remember the thread on the Drafts and Trading board entitled "North's Kids vs. Sydney's Kids"? It was from 2010 I'm pretty sure; back in Brad Roo's heyday.

Pretty much typical North hysteria, while in the end our kids (Kennedy, Jack, Hannebery) took us to a premiership.

a controversy every time we play (and beat) them
but underlying this is insecurity that south melbourne relocated and have made a success of themselves in sydney. It's too close to home for them.

As much as I've been gotten a wry grin out of the resetting of the "we'll pass them in x years" count down that was subscribed to by a few of their fans, lets not get into the slagging of their posters / club as a whole. The ones who are... involved enough... to get upset by this flag will be burning enough as it is.

Edit: Did enjoy Teffy's description of Jack, Jetta, and Hannebery as plodders who wouldn't get a game at North, though.

See I don't get as you stated they won 96 we moved on why haven't they?

As for the so called controversies almost all are blown out of proportion BS excuse for why they lost. ( a mean it's like we come in late and take out a young bloke who was tearing shreds off them putting him out for a season)

That thread highlights north fans all being aliases not concerned with there back 6 or lack of a solid defensive gameplan, then in the same breath mention the hawks defensive structures fell apart in the last two finals, and nobody picks up on how ******ed they sound.

Man when the norf board realise the hawks were an attacking team who's biggest weakness is a soft defence there Gunna be pissed.

Are you talking about when they were selling sydney NORTH memberships at a final in sydney to hoodwink swans fans into buying one?

North and carlton have tried to kill us off a few times.

Yeah, who cares? Sure, Teff's hilarious, and there's a few other people that hate the Swans, but that's true of pretty much any board. North were a great team once and will be again, same as any other club.

I love how Norf fans go on about their dynasty in the 90's. They beat a team in 1996 that had next to no finals experience whatsoever and in 1999 they absolutely grassed a GF. Essendon would have mauled them had they not choked against the Blues a week earlier.
