Hurn

I'd rather Birchall over Hurn. JON just needs time to adapt to AFL football. From what I have heard he was given much more space at WAFL level, but at AFL his disposal drops when under pressure.

In the west coast game whenever he took a mark his disposal was very effective. He has all the athletic abilities on his side (pace, height, agility), but needs to work on his decision making and kicking skills (when under pressure). Just give him some time.

JON over Hurn
Tambling over Franklin
Fiora over Pav
and so on..

maybe we should pull numbers out of a hat? We might even get a good recruit!

Cant believe we picked Jon over this bloke, we are a team full of sticks and we pass up a bloke like this..........makes you angry

welcome to 18 months ago

throw in clark who if he gets his kicking right and doesnt turn into a tosser will be a gun as will nathan jones who has great leadership which is not welcome at richmond

as much as jon will improve he will not be a chf or a centre square midfielder which these blokes are going to be for a long time

Wells over johnson.

Rofl. Fist of all it was the 2006 draft. Every other one of the other 16 clubs could have had Pettard too. He went at pick 30.
im just saying that tigers dont seem to get the good ones that can step up quickly and dont take years to for them to come good.

Hopefully JON will turn out okay.

I would have prefered Mitch Clarke, a tall foward who can pinch hit in the ruck:thumbsu:...hopefully this is what Kreuzer will be doing for us next year

if we take kruezer hopefully he is an out and out ruckman. someone who can dominate in that role. the last thing we need is another player who is okay at 2 roles but master of none. besides i hope the young kpf we have drafted recently turn out to be very good kpp so we dont have a need to turn our ruckmen into kpp.

What I would hope out of Kruezer after a couple of years on our list would be a 2001 Brad Ottens type player. A player who is the second string ruckman, who plays plays foward when he isn't rucking. Simmonds or Patto can be our equivalent of Bradon Gale, with him being our Ottens

sheesh we better not use our first round pick on him then.

hope he has more ticker than BO, we need leadership baddddd, no more millionaires happy enough to be on an afl list

What are you talking about? Brad Ottens was a superstar in 2001, we has only gone down hill since. I'm not saying he should have the same career as Ottens, just the same start of his career

Can't you remmeber the "twin towers" in Ottens and Richo

Brad Ottens stats in 2001:
Age: 21/22
Games: 24 (we played finals)
Disposals: 354. 230 kicks, 124 handballs (average 14.8 touches a game)
Marks: 166 (6.9 a game)
Goals: 46 (1.9 a game)
Hitouts: 321 (13.4 a game, 15.1 a game in 2000)

Yer I wouldn't like to have a Brad Ottens of 2000/01 in our current side or a our future side:o

JON was taken over, Hurn, Higgins, Mitch Clark, Nathan Jones
We could use a sold and touch mid like Hurn or Jones and another tall forwar of Clark's ability would be nice also.

jon is a dud just get over it and get rid of him

constuctive:thumbsu:

he is a young dare i say project midfielder for the future, got to give him 2 seasons before we start offloading our top draft picks as duds. It is so much easier for young players to come into a good, tough winning side than our situation.
