I am pissed off

Can't find the Dempstered thread

My physiotherapist for the last 4 months is being transferred to another hospital. It was one of the few things I look forward to each fortnight, those soft gentle fingers working into places unknown, releasing stress, pain, suppressed memories from previous lives, who knows what. All I know is I left feeling taller and better.

Channel 9. What a bunch of wackers, this really had me screaming last night to "The Handicapper". "Those bastards! They just ripped off AT and the Dempstered Line". I was furious, no credit given to our brilliant BF contributor. WARNERED. WARNERED. FFS. They didn't even have the intelligence to come up with an adequate description of what warnered meant, just through in a few words for a big hitting batsman that had no coherence to it.

"The Handicapper" was totally bewildered to my emotional outburst, as I was raving about Dempstered and Warnered. "What are you talking about, its not even a word" She was trying to make sense from what was a relatively peaceful evening as we were flicking the remote on the couch, to this raving mad man talking about non existant words. Even I cracked up laughing at the look on her face....she was seriously doubting my sanity. I settled down with a smug look telling her "I will be alerting the boys and gals on Big Footy to this outrage". With that the storm was over except for her moving further away from me on the couch

At least its out there though, as if they would have come up with that themselves!!

Not even a word? Thems divorce words right there, if a man cannot enter the internet and make slogans up to create a possible business venture out of it then he cannot call himself a man!

Also The Dempstered Files seems to be the only one remaining in this forum, the other two were a pictorial thread and a closed one where K asks for the most creative use of the phrase.

Oh and I hate to say I told you so, but I do believe I did at one point say cherish it because it won't last, though I am of course saddened that you've come down my level of support karma, at least one us needed some damned eye candy during our agony!

As you had the Godly foresight to see Fly. My new Physio is a 50 odd year old male, who looks like he maybe a timber worker and this is just his fill in job whenever the weather is inclement.

I kept quizzing him about why he is working in a female dominated industry to the detriment of good souls like myself. Now its the public hospital system its free so I couldn't push too much, but this is blatantly unfair. The guy had digits, not fingers, pads not hands and he breathed really weirdly which spooked the hell out of me.
Not happy!

Brick layer judging from that description, a timber worker would be more, well, like a nail gun where they poke and prod to test areas whilst the brick layer uses the entire hand to beat that sucker into the right shape. But it is like you say, free, so there's not much room at all for complaining.
