Now that Palmer is out for a season and Ibbo having played almost exclusively in the midfield on saturday, he will have to carry big responsibility on his shoulders. We can't expect de Boer to set the world on fire straight away. I think he'd be more than happy with that challenge and I think he's got the body strength and skills to do it right.

Go Ibbo. :thumbsu:

He also laid a solid bump on a sydney player which was nice to see after the recent shirkings. Will be interesting to see if any of those mentioned can step up into Palmer's shoes. Sometimes increased responsibility can make you play better.

Good player Ibbotson, he will be a star IMO.

Looking forward to watching him, Stephen Hill and Hinkley live this weekend.

Avert your eyes from our players you E-girl.

Now leave and I bid a good evening to you Sir.

Yeah, yeah. How many players have we had that can show flashes of brilliance. He was certainly harder at it on Saturday night but he still makes Des Headland look like a one of the Kray bothers by comparison.

He still can't figure out how to corral someone rather than over commit and get stepped around easily. By my count, that is a goal a week, maybe two on Saturday. And then there was the ball watching in the back line where he just stopped and watched his man take a mark.

I remember that. I love Ibbo, but he needs to fix that part of his game, certainly.

I thought he looked great on Saturday, his ability to hit targets and one touch play's is the modern game.

Defensive pressure probably requires a bit of work, i think overall he has certainly taken his game up another notch.

However I think Haselby surely has to shoulder the burden as the midfield general (If he plays next week)
